What a brilliant day we enjoyed at Silverstone for the Classic Meeting on August 1st.
I [Leo Cope] was lucky enough to be given a pass to the BRDC Clubhouse, thank you very much, it was so appreciated and Peta Jacobi was a guest of BRDC member. We travelled in together in the morning, car sharing! It was wonderful to see so many people out and about, the petrol heads out in force. The atmosphere was great, everyone determined to enjoy the event. There were some fabulous cars on display, all immaculately valeted and lovingly cared for. Once inside the Clubhouse we found fellow Doghouse Ladies enjoying the racing, the social get together and just being able to behave normally again. It’s been a long time, due to COVID, that like minded people could enjoy each other’s company.
President Shirley, Julie Kincade, Sheila Davey, June Copeland, Lorina, Jean Johnson and lots more friends and members who all stopped for a glass of wine, cup of tea and a natter.
Such a privilege to be there and we had so much fun.
